Grrlcott

Grrrlcott found its inspiration and tenacity from the inclusivity of the Riot Grrrl movement of the early 90's and the list of diy music, artists and coffee houses I kept taped to the mirror of my dresser in college dubbed The Grrrlcott Whitelist.

As the years marched on that list got tucked into the dresser somewhere and the music and coffee houses faded into the background and waking up with the sun and powering through the work day zoomed into the foreground; The need for inclusivity, however, did not fade. And one day I got a wakeup call. It was my doctor. He said, "There's a tumor growing on your [Washington] right near your [District of Columbia]." And I realized my whitelist can't stay tucked away in the depths my dresser.
